Stop Treating Rockwool Like a Commodity — Here’s Why Specifying the Right R38 Matters

I don’t believe in “good enough” when it comes to thermal performance. Especially not for rockwool R38 insulation.

Here’s the thing most people don’t realize: specifying rockwool R38 insulation isn’t just about hitting a code minimum. It’s about what happens when the building is finished and the client lives with your choices for the next 50 years.

I’ve seen what happens when someone swaps in a cheaper alternative — and it’s not pretty. Lie #1: “All R38 is created equal.”

It’s not.
