How to decide which scenario you're in

- Sound priority? → Rockwool for walls/ceilings, but consider mineral wool boards for floating floors.
- Budget priority? → Cheap products cost more in the long run. Ask about lifecycle cost, not per-sqft price.
And if someone hands you a quote that looks too good? Ask for the line items: delivery, waste factor, installation tools, and disposal. I've seen a vendor charge $0.50/sqft for Rockwool but add a $300 rail fee. Transparent pricing isn't just about the number—it's about trust.
